He said in Quran

 وَمَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ

“And whoever puts all his trust in Allah, He will be enough for him”. (Al-Quran 65:3)

Tawakkul means that you practice and prepare yourself to rely on and fully trust Allah Almighty.
