Al-Waqi’ah means a great event or a great accident, that is, the day that is a sign of the coming of the Hour. This verse means that no matter how much people deny the Hour, when that Day comes, no one will be able to change its truth, and then they will not even get a chance to repent. Surah Al-Waqiah presents the entire scene of the Hour clearly. It tells us what the reality of Paradise and Hell is, and on the Day of Judgment, every person will get the result according to their deeds, that is, whoever does good will go to Paradise and whoever does evil will go to Hell.
